Built in 1982, the Barbican Arts Centre is owned and funded by the City of London. A Grade II listed building, the complex has special architectural interest because of it’s massive scale, cohesion and brutalist 80s utopian style.

The centre includes the Hall (the home of the London Symphony Orchestra); the Theatre; the Pit (a smaller stage); the Art Gallery; 3 cinemas and informal performance spaces.
