Belgian/Flemish folk group with the enchanting voices of Jorunn Bauweraerts, Nathalie Delcroix and Annelies Brosens. The inspiration for their songs comes from old song books; and this is how they succeed in making medieval songs sound strikingly modern.

The band was formed at the Volksmuziekstages in Gooik, which are some kind of workshops. The Flemish folkband Kadril noticed the girls singing a capella and took them on tour as their support act for a while. Laïs built up a small fanbase with their a capella songs. When they released their first CD, they were accompanied by Kadril on some songs. Later they searched their own musicians to complete the band.

Ik lig dubbel hier... Heidevolk kan nog net, maar dit slaat alles :) kansloos, helemaal omdat het Belgisch is haha. Voor Engelsen klinkt het gewoon als een taaltje, maar als je het verstaat is het echt grappig. Om je dood te lachen XD

I'm sorry but EMI decided to change all the original versions to live tracks from Documenta. So none of the tracks from the first album is still the original. We're working on it... You can buy the full album on www.wildboarmusic.com
