Gabriel & Dresden is Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden of San Francisco, California. They are DJs and producers who create and mix progressive house and progressive trance music. They are also the production unit behind Motorcycle and Andain.

The two are best known for their remixes. Recently they remixed Gustavo Santalaoralla’s “Wings”, the theme song of the movie Brokeback Mountain. They have also remixed songs by Dido, Sarah McLachlan, and Above & Beyond.

Gabriel & Dresden released their first original album (Self Titled) in August 2006. The album features vocals by Jan Burton, Molly Bancroft, and DJ Scarlett Etienne. The album was released on the duo’s own label, Organized Nature.

Josh Gabriel is also known for inventing a music program called Mixman. It’s a pc application that allows you to remix and create music. www.mixman.com

I like a lot of their stuff - but I saw Josh Gabriel mix a set in Denver this weekend. . yawner! I exepected a lot more dynamic mix with a dash of "progressive" in the "progressive mix." Not so much! No offense, but he wasn't much better than the house DJ.
