Datarock are a quirky norwegian duo who play 80s inspired dance music, combined with guitars and cheesy, tongue-in-cheek lyrics. They met at the University of Bergen, Norway in 2000.

Band members are:
- Fredrik Saroea (vocals, guitars, drums, percussion, keyboards)
- Ket-ill (bass, background vocals, programming, keyboards)

Among their influences are the trinity of Talking Heads, Devo and Happy Mondays.

Their song “Fa-Fa-Fa” will be featured in a new Coca Cola advert, and is also featured in NHL 08, FIFA 08 and NBA Live 08 as part of EA Trax. It also appears in The Sims 2: Free Time. “I Used To Dance With My Daddy” is featured in Need for Speed Pro Street.

Strangely, most of the crowd at the NY show tonight seemed to be there for Ladytron. Don't they understand that the more important band plays first? Datarock was and is number one.
