Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Their debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, was self-released in 2005, receiving attention from numerous MP3 blogs and a favorable review from Pitchfork Media, who gave the band a “Best New Music” commendation. The ensuing demand for the album was so great that the band were forced to re-press the CD, as the initial production run was too small. David Bowie and David Byrne have recently been spotted at some of the band’s shows, garnering them even more press. Most recently, they received praise from Rolling Stone as the ‘Hot New Band’ for 2005. On October 3, 2005, they were signed to Wichita Recordings in the UK.
The band members live in Brooklyn, with the exception of Ounsworth who lives in Philadelphia.
Frontman Alec Ounsworth has a side project (Flashy Python and the Body Snatchers), and a solo project, while drummer Sean Greenhalgh also is the frontman for Mr. Brownstone, a Guns N’ Roses tribute band.
Their single, ‘Home On Ice’, was on regular rotation on Australia’s Triple J.

I think his voice lies somewhere between thom yorkes voice and spencer krugs'. I like them both, so I don't find any problems with this bands' singers' voice ^^

You're right, Waqcku... their name is pretty quirky! But I might say, your name is pretty zany!!

So waqcku, that makes absolute sense. Long live Alec and his terrible voice.
