Brand New
On Tour

Merrick, New York NY, United States (2000 – present)
They initially had a pop-punk sound, with stirring lyrics, and an unusually intricate sound for a band of this genre. Their second album showed a matured lyrical direction and a departure from their earlier pop-punk sound. Their current sound has more in common with indie-emo bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate and Straylight Run. They became part of the Long Island, New York indie/hardcore scene with the likes of The Movielife, From Autumn to Ashes, Glassjaw, and Taking Back Sunday, whom they are supposedly close friends with, but have had their share of misunderstandings. They have released three full-length albums and two EPs.

I think all 3 CDs are awesome. D&G and DE are my favourites, but recently I listen to YFW more because it's cute and fun and still has great lyrics.

can't stand yfw. they played the shower scene when i saw them last year, it sounded infinitely better. the way they played it, it sounded like something off of devil and god. i love this band. brick house sounds awesome as a full band, i can't wait for the album.

so deja and D&G are gay now.........I think id rather take the shallow album :P

Vandalheart likes a lot of punk bands, so I can see why he would enjoy their most irrational and shallow album. YFW is alright, but seriously Deja and DevilGod bend it over and anally molest the shit out of that album.

What I like about Brand New is that you can really see a growth between albums.

"your favourite weapon" is the only reason I listen to this... crap =/ sorry

DanceMichael wrote:
The band posted a myspace blog talking about the progress on there release which should be out sometime this year. Anyone who says they only listen to brand new because of your favorite weapon needs to relisten to there last two releases thet blow that cd out of the water..Brand New is Great because they ALWAYS get better and better with time.Anyone knows that. Its common sense.
