    Not scrobbling

    Hi,

    My scrobbles since Wednesday have not scrobbled.

    Submission server status: Error: Could not reach server
    Last successful connection: Unknown

    I've followed the instructions in the FAQ (clicking on the username an Account). I've uninstalled and re-installed. Nothing seem to make any difference. Everything is just being cached.

    Any ideas?
  • I'm in the same boat, no scrobbles for about a week. Like you I have followed the instructions, still nothing....

    same here.
    No scrobbles since Wednesday. I've checked, re-checked, restarted computer, uninstalled, re-installed... Nada!
    All tracks appear in cached, same message in help/diagnostics - could not reach server, otherwise the appication seems to work fine... I can even play my last.fm playlist and other radio stations in the software.
    Any ideas?

    (I'm using Mac OS v. 10.5.2, iTunes 7.6.2(9) and the lastest version of Last.fm for Mac - 1.5.1.30182 - gee, this sounds like a zip code...)

    Oh my....I thing is a problem in our program...

    No scrobles here too

    the same thing...it just stopped scrobbling 4 no reason...nothing from FAQ helps=\\

    Is your firewall correctly configured? Have you tried to shut it down temporarily and restart the last.fm client?
    Eventually you could try to re-handshake your session clicking on your user name in the account dropdown menu.

    I've tried everything its said and I haven't been able to Scrobble since the 27th June. I changed my password on the 28th, but I made sure I changed it in the application. I un-installed and re-installed just then, and typed my new password, but still nothing.
    I don't get any errors or anything, it just isn't there.

    no firewall (besides, I had been able to scrobble up to a certain minute, when... plop!). I did try to shut it down temporarily and restart, also clicked my username in the dropdown menu... it just can't make that connection.

    perhaps I should throw away my computer, buy a new one, delete account and install last.fm again. That'll surely work! :)))
  • Same issue. Still eagerly awaiting a solution.
  • If none of the solutions/checks suggested here works for you guys, please be aware that very likely you are dealing with some local issues that we can't hardly fix from here.

    oh well, so I only have the replace-computer, delete last.fm account and create a new one and re-install software solution...

    Oh, and I forgot about "move to a new apartment with a different internet provider and firewall settings" :))

  • problem fixed

    allright. mayble it'll help someone - I changed the password (yes, also in software) and suddenly... it connected!!! Wow!!! Now I don't have to start searching for a new flat in a region with a different provider! :))
  • Change password

    I've changed the password 4 times already and nothing happened... I've had this problem for over 2 months now and it would be greatly appreciated, if they could come up with some fix, that would LastFM work..

    Try changing back to your old password.
  • Well, I came here to moan about my client not scrobbling and, sure enough, it magically started scrobbling again!

    As far as I know it's not possible to delete this post once you've posted it. Or am I just dumb (would not be a surprise). It would be nice if you could. I mean you can delete shouts, too.*wink*
